![]() ![]() In this situation, a positive review of this game would be disappointing to other companies that strive to give the PC community what they really deserve with their optimized port. The game ran at around 25-40fps on low-medium settings, even though I played Resident Evil 4 Remake at 60fps on medium-high settings. Druckmann, and anyone else who contributed to this port, and the main blame should rest with Sony who approved the release. In spite of this, the PC port is a shame for Naughty Dog, Iron Galaxy, Mr. Without a doubt, the game itself is a fantastic experience, and I enjoyed every minute of it. My machine is plenty strong enough to run this one, it's just an awful port. I strongly recommend all players steer clear of this for several months to a year, as it should never have been released in this state in the first place.Įdit: Since folks have suggested in the comments that I only gave this a bad review because my PC is weak, I wanted to state for the record I'm running this on a 3080 Ti. Even after several patches it's still extremely difficult to keep the game running on my machine. This is a completely broken port that shouldn't be purchased at the moment. Once you've verified files, you've got to recompile shaders, which can take upwards of 45 minutes! And, to top it off, the cherry on top is that the game will often then crash WHILE COMPILING SHADERS, forcing you to begin the entire arduous process all over again. The game crashes nearly once every two hours or so, and while that's annoying, the most debilitating part of these crashes is that the game will often force you to verify files afterwards. The issue here is that it lacks stability. I'm fortunate enough to have a very powerful PC, so when it runs, it runs fairly well. However the current state of things is god-awful. If the port's ever stabilized, I'll get around to writing a full review and I'll definitely thumb this up. This is a phenomenal game, both from a story and gameplay perspective. ![]()
